Background: The Goldline is a Rhode Island Red crossed with a Light Sussex. They are hardy birds but sadly they are the first choice as battery hens.
Personality: They are friendly and inquisitive making an excellent choice for first time chicken keepers especially where younger children are involved in looking after them. They are exceptionally easy to tame and will follow you around when you are in the garden.
Appearance: The plumage of the Goldline is rich browny red with white tail feathers and pale yellow featherless legs. They often have pretty white lacing around their necks. They are similar to the Columbian Blacktail.
Eggs: The Goldline is a prolific egg layer, rewarding you with 320 to 340 large brown eggs in her first year of lay.
