Appearance:They are a pretty addition to a flock with a lovely dark grey “cuckoo” plumage with speckled lighter grey speckled markings. Their feathers are silky soft and abundant. Some have very distinctive barring and some are more speckled with a whiter head.
Eggs: The Speckled Maran is a very productive egg layer, rewarding her keeper with 260 to 280 beautiful brown speckled eggs in her first year of lay.
